The Knitting Pot opened in November of 2013. It turned out to be one of the coldest winters in years - which was actually a good thing for a knitting shop! It took three months to transform the space into the welcoming, colorful, and inspiring environment it is today.
During the last 10 years we have been learning and having fun with Knitting and Crochet!
This year, we are so excited to welcome the sewing studio and work with our new teacher Sarah!
Come and get inspired by all the color and the energy of this place. The team's knowledge and passion for fibers and fabrics will encourage you to learn and have fun while you learn.
Sign up for a class or give the gift of KNITTING, CROCHET and SEWING this holiday season!!
Yasna and Sarah teach the classes for kids and adults. With knowledge and patience they will get you started. With creativity and intense attention to detail, they will help you create beautiful handmade pieces. Supporting your style of learning, they will assist you by answering questions and fixing mistakes or any "suspicious" stitches!
To ensure personalized attention, the classes will be small groups of 2-4 people. While working in an intimate atmosphere, the students will definitely succeed with their project!
It's always the perfect time of the year to learn! Join us on a beautiful journey to create a handmade item for yourself or someone you love!

During her career, Yasna has worked in most of the areas of textile design, as an entrepreneur and as a designer, creating clothing and knitted/woven accessories for children and adults. She has developed marketing solutions for companies like Coca-Cola and Nestlé in her native Chile. She has extensive experience in retail window design and display for independent boutiques, malls and department stores. She was a teaching assistant for graphic design at the University of Valparaiso and taught her own curriculum at the Cidec Institute in Viña del Mar, Chile.
In 2003, with a strong desire of adventure and knowledge, Yasna decided to move to Scotland, focusing on improving her marketing skills, learning English and enjoying delicious cups of tea! She lived there for 5 years, in the beautiful city of Edinburgh. While there, she worked for the food company El Olivo, designing displays for trade shows.
In 2011 she moved to the United States! Working as a volunteer for the Fashion Resource Center, at the School of the Art Institute, inspired Yasna to open her own studio....
